The Nitto reminds me of the new Interco M/T tire...

The Toyo looks like a BFG/MTR hybrid.

If those Nitto's get DOT approved I wouldn't be surprised if they grow in popularity fast. Looks like an extremely aggressive tread design, tons of void, looks pretty excellent to me! They remind me of those popular european tires that aren't DOT approved and thus not sold in canada or the states. How can you say no to that much void? Those babies look like they'll chew some serious mud. You'd have to be careful on the road though, it'd probably take you a while to clean all the honda civics out of your lugs :redneck

Those Toyo's are nothing special though, same old MT tread design. I like the sipes, but unless they have seriously beefed up sidewall ply's or a super sticky compound, I don't see how they're too different from a BFG or a Pro-Comp.

Nitto would be dumb to not do whatever it takes to get the tires DOT approved. I mean, there might finally be something to give Swampers a run for their money!

I love competition...it makes better products and lower prices.

There's a tire that has a VERY similar tread pattern that isn't DOT approved that you can buy in europe and australia probably asia and africa too. I guess that particular manufacturer doesn't have the brains.
