Who went to pay their respects today? I went with my girlfriend to one in Abbotsford. i usually just have a moment of silence by myself but she suggested we go down to the Cenotaph this year. It was a great idea and i'm glad we did, I think it was great to see so many people out remembering and honouring the people who fought so that we could have freedom.:canadian

What are your thoughts on this?

I held my own small ceremony on the top of the mountain in the middle of our 4x4 trip. we had 8 people who remembered in my makeshift ceremony...

I spent 10 minutes talking with a WWII veteren on November 11. He was selling poppies. After getting one , I took the time to ask him about his service.

He served in England for 2.5 years from 1942 to 45 as a Lancaster bomber mechanic. I then spent a few moments asking about his medals and what he had received them for. When I left, I shook his hand and thanked him. His name was Rusty.

:)

To ALL our veterens of all wars. Thank you.

Tim.

Rememberance Day is also my wedding date. I broke a training seminar to have a minute silence at 11:00 and I wore my poppy which drove me crazy cause it kept falling off. We have huge respect for this because of Air Liquide history and the wars and it's really cool cause the whole place comes to a stop. It is the least we all can do!:canadian
On Nov 08 (Fri) every Air Liquide in Canada celebrated 100 years. This is the experience/respect we need to pass on to our youth. (ok enough political essay)

never really thought of that...maybe you can expand on the role of Air liquid during war times, kind of be neat to hear the role of a Canadian business during the times...
