That's not a '55. It's something that we never got in North America.
I think it's a 1960's era FJ45 wagon. Or rather, that's what the sheet metal looks like. Those axles are obviously from der fatherland.
Check this out, a 1965 FJ45 wagon:

yeah, the difference between that and the actual jeep 'scrambler' for 2004 that Lars mentioned/Was at the Jeep Jamborees state side is that the box is separate from the cab on the AEV creation.

we did get fj45 wagons here just not very many. I even owned a really beat one for a while - just a parts mobile though. I do know a guy here in Westbank that has one that is his daily driver but it's not pretty :)

What's the story on this beast? Is there a sumo wrestler hanging off the right side of it or is the suspension actively flexing itself? I don't see any leafs or coils, is there an airbag system under there that I can't see?

They do have a website but there is no mention of this rig, I've heard that they will be making a few more of these but they will be more hardcore. This one is based off a rubicon with 117.5" wheelbase and a RE LA lift kit, you can read a bit more about it on pirate.
