anyone here try e-lockers yet if so how do they hold up? and how much are they?

I called a couple of places awhile back they did not even know what I was talking about, they did not know eaton had started makeing e-lockers, but hopefully by now they should at least know about them and maybe stock some, but they are going to be expensive.

I doubt it. They're based on the True Tracs which cost about the same as a regular Detroit. I would guess that the cost to manufacture is the same if not higher than a Detroit Locker.

Interesting note: Wil just back from SEMA 2002 and said that one of the Tractech reps said that the ELocker can ratchet when locked...so it's not like a spool. Hmm...I gotta get more details.

After looking around this is what I learned, there not in production yet:( but they have been advertising them for a wile now. I wish I could find out if there going to be more expensive than the air locker or cheaper. If anyone know more please post it here I'm very interested in this Eaton E-Locker.

Thats good news:) the people I called Lordco/north shore ect. either haven't got back to me or they cant get a price or avalibility. If you know of the right peaple I should talk to please fill me in:)

I pnoned 4 wheel parts in the US and the D44 is now avail, they have 10 of them 795 US dollars

for those that are interested,
I'm going to phone a distributor today ill post again after work with the price for a 14 bolt 9.50" rear end and the 9.25" front .(this is what I need!)
795 US dollars for the D44 seems like alot to me. more than the air locker and that comes with the compressor. I was hoping it would be cheaper cos you don't need a compressor.
