Anyone ever fished these lakes? How were they?

Yeah man. Caught and consumed a huge rainbow out of Chehalis.
Was using a 10' long Ford Fender (about $15 from Army Navy) with a pink wedding band and a worm.
Previously I ate a decent Dolly Varden out of there.
Elbow Lake... never been there

were you trolling or just off shore? Which end of the lake do you remember?

I am sure fishead was trolling. Kinda hard to throw all that junk into the water from shore. :redneck

I was just at elbow on sunday trolling in the snow and rain. 3 of us cought nothing. Chehalis I was told is still closed because of fallen trees everywhere. I fished chehalis a couple of times last summer. There are some fish but not a lot.

Hmm... forgot about this thread.
Yeah, trolling. The Dolly was along the east side after launching at the south end of the lake. The large rainbow was caught pretty much in the middle of the lake, just off the camground halfway up the west side of the lake.
Nice lake, but the administration leaves something to be desired!
Went camping with the guys, but knew nothing of a gate in front of the campground. It is something of a piss-off to drive 30km in the dark only to find a gate. He with the truck that can go fastest on the rough road (me at the time) has to then drive back down the hill (30km) to buy a key, then drive back up for camping. What a joke! No signs along the road, nothing.
Now you got me riled up and remembering why I prefer to go elsewhere!

Good info to know if I ever decide to go up there. Thanx, sucks that it happened to you though.
