I had to cut of one of my stuck rear drums. I now need one or could use a pair.Lordco could not get one, B&J would order one from Ontario, but it would be pricy.
I tried Standard Truck parts, but he does not have any rear axles.
Does anyone have one drum or know of places to look in for one.

How much did B&J quote you? Have you tried Vancouver Auto Parts?

I did not try Vancouver auto parts. I will.
B&J quoted me 80 bucks plus shipping if I wanted it quicker.
It'd be probably over 100 bucks by the time I got it.
Lordco quoted me $50 for a ford drum that looked very similar.
I went to a scrap yard and got it for 10 bux.
The only difference between a Scout and ford one is that the ford is about 3/8 or 1/2 inch deeper. It ruubs on the backing plate.
I got longer wheel studs and inserted 1/4 inch wheel spacer on the inside of the drum. It works for now, but I don't like this sort of 1/2 as* solutions...
I wonder if a CJ drum would work....
It's too bad, just about a month ago I saw a scout at Kelowna pick a part with drums on it, I shoulda took it.

Since you have to do your drums anyways, I have heard of a couple of guys using the drums, guts and backing plates from a Ford (van I think) with a Dana 44.
They are a larger diameter and wider, supposedly they bolt right up to the housing.
Try asking at www.binderbulletin.org
Someone there will know for sure.

Wow, It's like you were reading my mind.
I was just talking with B&J yesterday and they corrected themselves and said that unfortunetly they were unable to locate the drum in the whole country.
My next thought was to go on the scavenger hunt to the junk yard and "scout" (irony?) out the D44 fords as I was thinking the chance is the whole assembly may just work.
That's a good lead thanx for the advice.
I'll post the results of my research...
