Don't even know where this is, but if any of you hunt to go shooting in the area I'd suggest looking into that meeting on jan 8th.
losing places to shoot is never a good thing.
It's just going to contine to happen forever.

Shooting to be banned in Ryder Lake area

CHILLIWACK - Not only does Chilliwack city council not want you to bring
your guns to town, they don't want you bringing them to Ryder Lake
either.
In response to complaints from residents, council has given notice of an
amendment to the firearms regulation bylaw extending the current
boundary where the discharge of firearms is prohibited to include Ryder
Lake.
Currently the discharge of firearms is prohibited in much of the
populated area of Chilliwack south to Vedder Mountain Road and Thornton
Road in Promontory, but the boundary stops on the edge of the Ryder Lake
area.
Staff called the amendment a "housekeeping" amendment to the bylaw, but
a public information meeting was set for Jan. 8 at 7 p.m. in council
chambers so council can receive public input.
Mayor Clint Hames said the city has received some complaints about the
discharge of firearms in the increasingly populated Ryder Lake area and
now it is "time to expand the boundary."
Hames said he doesn't expect this to be a contentious issue, although
there may be a handful of people who come to protest expansion of the
boundary.
