Like an idiot i figured i could fix my slight leak at the outlet by tighting the fitting more.. and like an idiot i stripped all the threads off the york ... now what

is there a way to restore them or do I now need a new top end ?
Can I JB Weld it in permently and have it hold pressure?

does anyone have a parts one there willing to part with?

Locktight has a product that rebuilds threads. I'm sure Lordco has some other stuff. Good luck.

well i found a fitting that i can use to grab on the what little threads i have left.. got everything together but still have the INCREADABLY LOUD noise..

after a hr or so of checkin it out i think its the clutch.. but the bolt to the shaft is tight..

are the clutches rebuildable?

My clutch works great. I did have a noise for a while, sounded like the clutch was going too, was a loose belt. Didn't sound like it at all.

its odd maybe its internal?

when the clutch is disengaged nothing... when its engaged its fine (with no restriction on the outlet) as soon as you restrict it it gets loud - almost a high pitched plussing squeal but doesnt sound like a belt. but if I plug the inlet side to make it work it doesnt make any noise...

anyone experence this?

Sounds like it's an air flow issue. You could remove the head and take a look at the valves. Easy, 6 or 8 bolts.

Mine didn't make any noise till it was underload, then it would squeal like crazy, tightened the belt and it went away.

the gasket looked intact with no real signs of a problem but ive never serviced one of theses before dont really know what to check (or how)

everything seems to be sealing good

No great expert myself. Opening the head could have shown you a bad seal or bad valves.

Maybe check the York web page. They have a PDF service manual with a trouble shooting section.
