I have a partially installed veggie kit I made and bypassed the secondary heater core in the process. The issue is my primary heater core has had the nagging issue with it being plugged and flushed three times with the engine flush and has never even come close to the heat output the secondary heater core has put out.
Dispute putting in LCR into the cooling system to take out all corrosion and then flush it with crystal dishwater detergent the third time then flushing it the water is still some what brown. What is the most likely cause of this? The previous owner only had the radiator changed 3 years ago because he never flushed it in 20 years and it sprang a leak. The vehicle only smokes in the morning but otherwise runs great.
Instead of forking out 125 dollars plus labor If I don’t do it to change the primary heater core if I can put in a inexpensive copper T so some of the water can go to the secondary heater core and the rest to the future veggie oil tank? Will the copper last in this cooling system? I think this would be the cheapest way to go. Also someone said dipping the heater core in muratic acid will take out the entire rust, gunk and crap out of the heater core. Any thoughts on this?
