how about this weather! ther must be some urban 4x4 stories to tell anything intresting .Rummer has it that a brass monkey was used to stack iron cannon balls in a pyramid on war ships and when it got realy cold the brass contracs(shrinks) spilling cannon balls on deck. Now you know where the phrase comes from , cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey!:help:

House was cold because the power went out on three separate occassions over the weekend. On the plus side, we were treated to two small tree fires on our street where the branches were contacting power lines. Saw over half a dozen transformer flashes in the sky, too, followed by an ominous HUMMMMMMM a few seconds later.

Took 1.5 hrs to drive to work today (usually takes 45 min). When I arrived at work, I had to shoulder check my door a few times before I was able to break the ice seal that formed on the drive in.

Oh yeah, I found out I need a new battery. TDI barely turned over. On the plus side, it's not cold enough to gel the fuel.

Yup, they sure do. It's been a consistent -30ish up here in the Mac for about a week. On site with the wind its hitting about -42 everyday.

Hell yes! Last year was awesome. It only hit -40 for about 3 days. I'm glad I got the Blazer motor put in my heater though. Makes it a little more tolerable when you aren't scraping the ice off the inside of the windshield.

-12 outside my house right now. In Coquitlam. Makes me think I'm back in Newfoundland or Labrador City.
I couldn't figure out why the furnace kept kicking in. Went downstairs, and realized I left the patio door open when I let the dogs out. They were on the couch sleeping, and the kitchen was freezing.
I hope y'all have your outside water turned off.
Tim...brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Do I win?

Ive lived in Fort St. John and spent some time up near Fort mac. Moved back to Fort st. James, way nicer. THing i hated about up there on the praries was that F***ing wind. made warm days cold. Plus here i get about the same amount of snow if not more and have a skihill 10 minutes away :D.

Been running all over Northern BC and Alberta the last few weeks and the coldest I've seen is pushing -50 C (about -44 I think without windchill). I have excellent insulation in this Western Star and everything that wasn't in direct contact with the heat coming out of the vents was frozen solid, including 3 jugs of -35 rated washer fluid that was turning slushy... Got to run up to Mckenzie the other night in one of their blizzards and rolled into town pushing 6" of fresh snow, took the brakes close to 24 hrs to start working again because they were frozen solid and packed full of snow (fun cruising around with 47,000 lbs in the box with no brakes :D). Needless to say with it hovering around -1 C in Burnaby right now I'm walking around in a t shirt enjoying the warm weather!!
