I was digging through the bargain bin at a local bookstore and scored a book entitled "Four Wheeling on Southern Vancouver Island" that was written in 1997 by David Lee and Keith Thirkell. Because the book is now almost 10 years old, I was wondering if anyone was familiar enough with the trails described in the book to know if all or any are still accessible for recreational use.

Why I ask is that I'm moving from Vancouver over to Victoria on Saturday and hope to do a bunch of sight-seeing/trail riding once I'm settled. Some of the places mentioned in the book sound pretty cool so I'm hoping they're still there.

:anyone:

Thanks!

Virtually all the trails around the Sooke area are closed. Do they mention any of those?

Yeah, there's a bunch around Sooke. I guess I'll have to just drive around and see what's what.
