OK when I was visiting my family down US (He is a former cop) we were talking about carrying gear in the bush. So....long story short he gave me his old service belt. As I was riding around on my quad the other day I thought wtf this sucks all my crap under my jacket, in my pockets, etc. So next day I used the utility belt. It kicks @$$! My GPS, knife, skinning knife, leatherman, and binocs all on the outside of my coat! Nothing around my neck and no pockets to try and dig through while sitting!
Then I was kinda messing around in my garage and my truck with my gear, and I realized I have atleast a dozen flashlights and even more knives! I have 2 mini mags, 2 mags, 3 headlights, 3 led flashlights, 2 huge cigarette lighter flashlights, and a bunch of others. A skinning knife, a fixed blade for my belt, a US marine(Rambo) knife, 2 other fixed blades, 2 filet knives, and about 10 lock blade knives, 11 olfa's (WTF? 11?) 2 x-acto sets with the interchangeable blades.
Does any one else have this same personality disorder? My wife came down and was making fun of me. She says I have 2 knives, 2 flashlights and 2 ball caps to go with every outfit. Then she started going on about the # of pairs of boots I have....

i`ve probably got several dozen knifes scattered everywhere, I only keep track of 4 of them though, the kershaw I carry daily and my 3 hunting knives.

I've usually got no less than two olfa's within easy reach. Theres always a lock blade within easy reach as well.
Theres proably twenty knives in the knife drawer of my toolbox, but they all have uses at work. Six olfa knives in the drawer are important, because they tend to get lost, misplaced, and stolen very frequently.

11 olfa's...
You know you can buy replacement blades for those, eh?
You don't have to buy a whole new knife. Cheaper, too. :D
(I shouldn't talk, I also have a knife fixation)
I have a similar belt I use when hunting. It carries my GPS, binocs, knife, water (or beer), compass, first-aid kit and emergency supplies in small pouches. It has a big pouch at the back that will hold a grouse or two. I got it at an army surplus store. I wouldn't go hunting without it.

I always have my 3 watt LED flashlight (uses 2 LiIon CR123 digi batteries), SOG powerlock multitool, and a Rescue Hook on my belt; Kershaw (Ken Onion tactical blur (tanto blade, serated), model 1670TBLKST) and a 3" buck pocket knife and Swiss pocket knife in my right pocket; and when I'm out in the bush I also put my Buck 119 on my belt as well... Then I guess I could include my keys hanging from a belt loop right behind the flashlight...

I have a few different Swiss Army knives around, but I like my Buck knife the best for an all around blade. My Leatherman stays in my tackle box, along with a cheap Gerber that's easy to clean in the river when it has fish guts on it. I had this ginormous Navy SEAL tactical knife that you could strap to your leg a la Tomb Raider style (too big to be useful for much other then killing people, something I never really got into), but it was stolen when my first place up here was broken into (shouldn't have kept it by the bed, dammit).
I like my vest for carring crap around. Doesn't keep it all around the waist like a heavy belt that encourages plumber crack. ;)

I only carry my leatherman unless i`m hunting, hopefully if i`m ever attacked by an animal and its not a hunting trip one of you will be around and I can beat it to death with your heavy utility belt ;)

Had such a knife thing that I learned how to make my own - bad idea. Current project (#13 or 14 - don't remember)is a "tactical machete" with a hard sheath and a dive-style companion knife. I have no idea what I'll use it for but it's going to look cool ! Also stitched up an LBE style vest just because I couldn't find one I liked. Now I try to keep my pockets empty of all except survival gear. Balance is a whole lot better and everything has a place, making it waaaayyy easier to find stuff when getting back to camp after dark.

My brother is a custom knife maker. Every Christmas/Birthday/holiday I can count on him to give a me another knife. I have some many of them, I keep losing them now. I really need to find my 2 favorite ones tho, a custom CRK M16, and a custom mini folder.
When I do find them, I'll snap some pictures. I have some pictures of other knives he has made. As well as a box for our Dad's best friends fathers ashes. Art Finnie was a lumber jack from the old days, so my brother custom made a box, and miniature lumbermans saw & 2 headed axe, both are razor sharp, and both can cut wood.
