I'm a wannabe. Only hunted grouse in the past and that was a LONG time ago when I was growing up in the interior. Took the CORE course down here in the '80's and kinda went deer hunting a couple of times (didn't shoot anything).

Now I have to get my PAL or whatever the hell they call it.

I let my fire arms licence expire in May, I then recieved a letter in July stating that I have firearms illegally and that the RCMP would be notified within 30 days to come take my guns away. I got my A$$ in gear after that and sent in all my info and it seems that they have excepted it. So when you get your PAL dont let it expire!

this is my second season...Unfortunatly my hunting partner ( my dad) lives in kamloops and i only get up there once every month to head out to the bush.. so like last year ill probably get nothing.. which sucks..

anyone know how to get a membership at the chilliwack gun range.. i went out there one morning and there was no one around..

Went Duck hunting yesterday. Fired a few shots but no ducks. If its windy this afternoon I amy try again. Saw a doe while I was out there. Moose hunting is my favorite but i have not got one yet. Deer hunting is my second choice I have got a couple in the past. Next week i may go after Bucks for a few days. Grouse are always a tasty bonus.
Happy Hunting

I got lucky a few weeks ago and got a bull moose, tastes good. Last one I got was three years ago, he was the last bull I even seen. I do my own reloading as well, have to with the caliber I shoot (.280 Ackley Improved).

i've been in the bush hunting for years now, for birds too many to count , deer about 5 , moose 3 and elk 0 I hunt with bow never taking big game with it, last year i bought a 7mm wsm and love it except for the cost of the ammo, so i'm now getting into reloading for the cost saving. ps can someone tell were my big buck is i've seem to lost it hahahahahaha

My dad and I hunt (more like occasionally anymore). I have a 1942 Lee Enfield Mk4 .303 Brit (full original shape including original cleaning kit) with a 7x scope and use Hornady Light Magnum 180 gr rounds, my dad has a BRNO .30-06 with a 9x scope and I can't remember the brand but he fires 180 and 210 gr round depending on what we're hunting.

We're the same, usually just end up with grouse. For those we have a couple of 12 ga shotguns and a couple of .22s (the Ruker/Singapore Arms semi auto with a 9x scope's my favorite. I bet we've put well over 10,000 rounds through it and it still keeps going like new, plus its hella accurate). I'll soon have a .30-30 (haven't decided between a Winchester or Marlin yet), hopefully but next spring. LR

First deer hunting trip I remember being on was in 1960 when I witnessed my father shoot one.

I got my first deer in 1970 and hunted on and off for years, some years less than others and some years more.

This year I spent a week in September pursuing mtn. sheep and two weeks straight in October after deer and moose, a little bit of duck hunting over the last six weeks plus a phesant and quail trip to the interior in November. Been a fun season!

I've really got into watefowling more over the last few years as it offers new challenges and new oportunities.
