Just stick a kid's inflatable pool (easier to pack) in the middle of the cut block and wait.
Or would this be considered "baiting"?

Open season is coming up, so I imagine they have a sixth sense for these types of things and run away and find good places to hide.
My friend is taking my dog hunting to hopefully get a moose during the open season. THAT should make for a good story...
My buddy from work got two huge moose in three days up in the Stikine (by Dease Lake). Apparently that is the place to go.

Is it just me or is the moose whizzing in the pool in that first pick?

moose has been open in your neck of the woods for a while and just so you know it is a Big No No! to use a dog for hunting ungulates unless they are on a leash . (p17)

Um, ya, they are gonna use her to flush out the bulls, then she will herd them in their direction... :laugh
You don't know my dog. She's not so much going hunting with them, it's more like going along for the adventure. I imagine she would be on a leash, for various reasons besides the regs.
I've had her at the range, and I wouldn't say she relishes firearms. It was weird, she hid from the guy while shooting, but she would jump up on me when I was firing... Apparently she took off (in the opposite direction) when the big rifle was having the scope adjusted at the range (I wasn't there)...
So you and the CO's can have no fear of this White Shep assisting in hunting the meeses and other ungulates.

if you can train her to blood scent and track wounded game it could be a real asset . There are untold numbers of hunters that lose game each year.
I use hounds for hunting and locateing predators (tracking collers and telemetry equipment also for tracking) it is alot of work but very rewarding.

Probably wouldn't be too difficult with her. Dead things creep her out.
That and she's white. I could jujst let her walk around till she turns red and find the downed creature that way...
