anyone other than me think it would be a good idea to add a spell checker to the forum?
or is it just me that peeves me seeing words spelled incorrectly.

It bugs me, too, but most people who are careless spellers don't use spellcheckers anyway. (ie: you have to care enough to use 'em).
(One of my all-time peeves: it's voila (plus the accent character), not "walla" or "viola")

Maybe we should add something to check the way our sentences are constructed as well?:laugh

yeah, actual grammar wasn't my strong point, but I usually don't make silly mistakes by spelling simple words wrong.
I agree with Lars, even if a spell checker were added, I guess those who don't care about the correct spelling wont bother using it.
If you don't know how to spell a word how hard is it to go to www.dictionary.com and type in what you THINK is how you spell it. It usually comes back with saying 'DID YOU MEAN _______'
anyway, I'm just ranting, I didn't mean to offend anyone if I did.
Its one of my pet peeves. Kind of like people chewing with their mouth open.

I wasn't offended. Just joining in on the fun. My spelling is usually spot on but I do get lazy on occasion.
The grammatical (sp?) errors annoy me more. It makes people sound really stupid and uneducated. Then again, who's to say they aren't. :laugh

I'd use it. But I also see how it could be a PITA to add it to the site.
