Need recommendation for stereo shop...

Looking for an adapter to go from a domestic antenna to a European (VW) deck. Can anyone recommend a well-stocked stereo shop in Richmond or Surrey that I should call?

Finding adapters to go from Euro antennas to domestic / aftermarket decks is easy. But going the other way isn't.

talk to my roommate, dusty, he runs the install bay at visions electronics in surrey (80th and king george hwy) i just talked to him and he said he has one. 604-502-8820

Tried Best Buy. They didn't have one and the guy said they rarely keep them around because very few people need 'em.

hmm maybe its different up there, they`ve got a whole installation center in the few i`ve been to down here.

you might be suprised what wal mart carries, then theres circuit city.

I checked my catalogues, uhhh, no I can't find any backwards antenna adapters.

Try Ralphs Radio, they have everything most of the time.

SMI Industrial Electronics can definately get it for you, but you'll have to wait for it.

This one did, too. They just didn't have any in stock due to lack of demand.

Called 'em but Dusty wasn't in yet. Talked to someone else and they had them in stock. $15 vs. $26 from the dealer.

BTW Bow Wow also sold 'em for $15 but they don't carry 'em anymore.

Augh. So I went to Visions yesterday after work, after fighting my way from Richmond to the Alex Fraser, and then across to King George Hwy. I had called earlier to confirm they had what I wanted. So I get there and they had exactly the OPPOSITE of what I wanted. I wanted a domestic antenna to a VW radio. They had an adapter to go from a VW antenna to a domestic radio.

I think I'll just go to the dealer and spent an extra $10 rather than drive around some more.
